The Training part for the ZipRealty careers: How to become a successful Realtor and increase your Realtors salary has to be one of the most important. I started my real estate career in one of the largest real estate companies in the world. How I wish that I could have started here at Zip. There were two things that I wanted to get starting my career as a Realtor/ Real Estate Agent. Training and leads. None of these materialized. On my first year I closed 8 transactions. They were all my sphere of influence. The leads and training were non-existent. I loved my team leader, the people in the office were nice, but give up most of my commission for this was absolutely not worth it. After 8 months I moved on to company # 2 where I got decent training, but there were no leads either. Eventually I navigated to a company that had a high commission split, which gave me contract support, but for every thing else I was on my own. I enjoyed working there, but as I said on blog 1 of this series after the market changed in October 2008 my business disappeared and 100% of 0 = 0.

Before you get one lead when you start working at ZipRealty you have to sit for one full week of training. They teach you how to use the platform, call and selling techniques. Every thing they teach you is very basic, but as I said before, I have seen some brand new agents move on to closed deals within the next 60 days from the leads they received from Zip. I have been in sales for most of my adult life, and I have learned more about it in the past 90 days that in most of my sales career. There is a local broker, and you are assigned a team leader. The broker does training about twice a week on local subjects like contracts, or she brings in some one else to cover other subjects. One of my favorites was given by another agent on communications.
The team leader works one on one with you on a weekly basis or more often if necessary. My team leader is very patient and is very successful within the company. She is in the trenches every day, so you are getting one on one training from a top producer.
ZipRealty has a training department that has training on different subjects twice a week. These are all live sessions via the Internet where at the end, you can ask questions. Most of these training classes are done by the top producers in the company. Some of the previous training sessions include: First time home buyers, how to use Home warranties in your sales, how to take advantage of your leads, which is a more advanced class on the platform and so many more that you will have to join the company to get the full training.
One of my favorite training systems on ZipRealty careers: How to become a successful Realtor and increase your Realtors salary is done a couple of times a week when agents from all over the country connect to take a training on sales and then each makes their calls for the next two hours and report their results at the end of the Session. Talk about support, encouragement and accountability.. Remember these are not cold calls, these are people who have raised their hands and joined the ZipRealty website.
