Rain
Camp Washington D.C. Information overload... Almost!
Having read so many
blogs about going to Rain
Camps did not prepare me for so much information.
I have been blogging for over a year now, and I thought I
knew a lot, but once again Activerain over
delivered and under promised on their advertising. I also got to meet
some of the people that I follow, admire and inspire what I do. Lenn
Harley, (congrats on your AR million points!) Cindy
Jones, Patt Kennedy, Bob
Stewart, Brad Anderson...
These are a "few" of
the things I remember, I learned so much more that I will
have to go back and read my notes.

Ben Kinney is a great speaker.
( Can't believe he is under 30 )
-
Create a remarkable brand and how to protect it
-
Facebook Page or Facebook Group and how to use it
- How
to grow your Facebook Page or Group
-
Must know websites
-
Team Management
- How
to follow up on your leads
- How
to successfully use Activerain
I wish I had
taken better notes, as I already see that I missed tons of information.
( Bring a tape recorder )
It was
wonderful meeting the Activereain Staff, it felt like I was meeting family
I haven't seen for a while.
The networking
opportunity was great, there were people from Connecticut to
North Carolina to Washington State. Bring lots of business
cards.
I bow to all
the agents who live in the D.C area, as it took us 2 hours of traffic
to get there. Our 4 hour trip turned in to a 6 hour drive.
I can't wait for the
next one!!

Hi Tere, we came from St Marys MD and misjudged the traffic. It was a two hour drive, but well worth it. As you said so much information. Time to review what I am doing and what I am not and just keep on doing it because the proof was right there among us. Active Rain brings business! Margaret C.
Thank you so much for making the long trip to join us Tere. It was great to meet you! It's very humbling to know that people come from so far away to be there to learn from us and we hope that we didn't disappoint.
Looking forward to you bringing back some of that great information to the Entrepreneur group. Sounds like you learned a lot of great stuff.
Margaret, Part of the 2 hour traffic was that we kept on missing the exit, but on the way out we didn't get lost, and we were still in traffic for 90 minutes. I just can't believe that people do this every day.
Bob, It was great meeting you too. I didn't realize you were so young. I loved the story of how you started Activerain.
Troy,
I was thinking I should share some of it on one of our future meetings. I still have to review my notes and process must of the information
Tere. Fabulous video. Good for you. That was a lot of work. Nice meeting you and, yes, it was a wonderful day.
You took notes???? Wow!
Tere- I am so happy that you were able to connect, especially with Lenn! What a gem!
Tere -
Congratulations on having made the effort to get to DC! Just shows what lengths you will go to for your clients - and now that I have your card I look forward to sending a referral your way.

Tere, check out my blog posts on Active Rain from yesterday. I took great notes and wrote down a lot of stuff I learned in my ten blogs this week. Hope it helps. Where is Chesapeake VA?
Lenn, Thanks about the video. I did take notes, but I think by the end of the day, I missed a lot.
Katerina, Lenn, is really sweet. She is like a rock star for us who admire all her blogs. Next I look forward to meeting you.
Michael, It was great talking with you. I look forward to doing business with you.
Chryl, I will be sure to check out your 10 posts. I see, I have a lot of holes on my notes. On our way back Aqila and I, were talking about what we learned, and we realized that we each remembered different things. I think what is most important to us is what stays with us. Chesapeake is in the Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Newport News areas. I work in all those cities and a couple more.
I'm guessing that it'll never show up here in the Detroit area, so I'm going to have to look for the next closest place and see what I can do about going.
Tere , It was great meeting you at Raincamp !!!!! It was alot of info to process and start implementing !
Nice Pics... and Congrats...
